At Max Super Speciality Hospital, Shalimar Bagh, I have always believed that world-class cardiac care should not require a world-class flight ticket.
Over the past several years, it has been a privilege to bring together some of the finest interventional cardiologists from across the globe — including the USA, Germany, Japan, Singapore, Australia, Canada, Italy, and the UK — right here in our cath lab. No single operator has seen it all. But together, we have.
These collaborations go far beyond live case demonstrations. They are immersive academic exchanges where we explore not just the HOW, but the WHY behind every decision — across:

Yesterday marked a fantastic academic and interventional milestone for us at Max Hospital, Shalimar Bagh.
We had the privilege of hosting @Dr Gary Mintz, one of the global pioneers in intravascular imaging, for an intensive IVUS-guided PCI workshop.
Along with my core team — Dr Amit, Dr Suman, and Dr Rameshwar — we performed 9 complex angioplasty cases, all guided by IVUS, covering a wide spectrum of challenging scenarios:

We conducted an advanced Complex Coronary Cases Workshop in collaboration with Ziad Ali during which 8 complex cases were performed back-to-back.
The cases included CTOs using both antegrade and retrograde approaches, left main bifurcation lesions, severely calcified left main bifurcation angioplasty using orbital atherectomy, extensive use of intravascular imaging, and a challenging ACS case in low EF managed with minimal contrast using DCB and DES. We also demonstrated precision ostial angioplasty guided by OCT.

We were privileged to welcome Dr. Sanjog Kalra (Canada) to our cath lab at Max Super Speciality Hospital, Shalimar Bagh for an advanced workshop on complex Left Main coronary interventions. 6 guided live angioplasties were performed using the most advanced imaging and plaque modification technologies available today, including Rotational Atherectomy (Rota), Intravascular Lithotripsy (IVL), and IVUS & OCT guidance — each case a masterclass in precision and patient safety.

We were honoured to host Prof. Dr. Gerald Werner (Germany) for an intensive full-day CTO and Complex PCI workshop at Max Super Speciality Hospital, Shalimar Bagh. 8 guided live angioplasties were performed covering antegrade and retrograde CTO techniques, IVUS-guided CTO interventions, complex PCI in low ejection fraction patients, and strategies for achieving complete coronary interventions at the lowest possible radiation exposure.
